Ukhti.me was born by the grace of Allah, alhamdulillah, from a simple but important reality: many sisters today struggle to find one another, build sincere bonds, learn from each other, and express themselves freely in a space that is truly private and protected. In many cities and regions, some Muslim women experience a quiet but very real form of isolation because they lack a trusted circle, local connections, or spaces that genuinely reflect their needs and values.
This project was imagined by a sister for sisters, based on a real need that was lived, understood, and expressed with sincerity. It was then brought to life, bi idhnillah, with the help of her husband, a graduate of a Muslim theology institute, in order to offer an initiative that is beneficial, respectful, and rooted in the principles of our religion. From the beginning, the goal was never to create just another social network, but to build a meaningful space where sisters can meet, exchange, and support one another in goodness within an environment more aligned with modesty, discretion, and Islamic ethics.
Why Ukhti.me?
Today, many mainstream platforms expose women to difficult realities: unwanted attention, outside observation of their activity, inappropriate private messages, intrusion, persistent contact, and even harassment. A sister should be able to take part in a community, share a reminder, ask for advice, suggest an activity, or discover useful events and services without fearing that a man may watch what she does, contact her privately without permission, or disturb her peace. Ukhti.me was envisioned for exactly this reason, in sha Allah: to offer sisters a calmer, more dignified, and more protected space.
Our approach is rooted in Islamic sisterhood, mutual support, and the pursuit of what is good. As Allah says, "Help one another in righteousness and piety." (al-Ma'ida 5:2). And the Prophet ﷺ taught us that modesty is part of faith. (al-Bukhari, hadith no. 9). With this in mind, Ukhti.me aims to be a beneficial means of helping sisters connect, encouraging useful exchanges, highlighting local initiatives, supporting learning, and allowing each woman to find, whether nearby or from a distance, a community that is closer to her values.
Our Intention
Ukhti.me was therefore designed as a space where sisters can, with the help of Allah, share posts, discover events, find other sisters in their area, speak privately, access beneficial content, highlight useful services or projects, and learn in an environment shaped around modesty and safety. We want every sister to be able to find, according to her needs, companionship, advice, reminders, opportunities to learn, or simply the feeling of belonging to a community that understands her.
We ask Allah to place barakah in this project, to make it sincere, beneficial, and protective for sisters, and to make it a source of goodness in this life and the next. If Allah wills, Ukhti.me will continue to grow as a community space reserved for sisters, built to preserve their privacy, respect their modesty, and foster beneficial relationships based on trust, respect, and faith.
